Enyimba of Aba are the champions of Nigeria Federations cup 2014 after defeating Dolphins of Port Harcourt 2-1 in an exciting game on Sunday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Dolphins started the game in a lively mood and if not for Enyimba’s goal keeper Femi Thomas reflex save in the second minute from a Chidiebere Okoli shot, the Aba Millionaires would have been a goal down in the early minutes of the game.

Minutes later, Dolphins star man Emem Edouk had a right-footed shot saved by Femi Thomas.

Enyimba failed to pose any attacking threat through-out the first half and had only one shot on goal which was off target compared to Dolphins’seven shot on goal with three of it been on-target.

The half time period was used to honour the Legends of the game who were recognised for their contribution to the Federations Cup in the past, Some were recognised posthumously while some Living Legend were represented by relatives and some even attended with their wives and children.

Enyimba could have scored a third goal when Sokari and Udoh combined well to set up play for Okonkwo. But Okonkwo shot straight at Sunday Rotimi who punched the ball away.
